Electric vehicles have become increasingly important in recent years thanks to the growing demand for sustainable mobility. However, one of the biggest challenges for electric vehicle users is finding a convenient and efficient way to charge their vehicles. An adequate charging infrastructure and the use of intelligent charging systems are essential prerequisites for the further spread of electric vehicles. They therefore represent an important step toward climate protection and environmental friendliness.

Expansion of the charging infrastructure

Expanding the charging infrastructure requires not only a high level of investment, but also careful planning and coordination between various parties. Smart in this context means also considering whether DC fast charging (also known as HPC) is really necessary or sensible, or whether simple charging with alternating current (AC) is sufficient. We recommend the right charging system for your individual applications and users.

• Sustainability: Smart charging maximizes the use of renewable energy sources and minimizes the use of non-renewable sources. The goal is to use self-generated energy whenever possible. This requires intelligently controlled charging.
• Reduced strain on the power grid: Smart charging reduces the strain on the power grid during peak times by scheduling and controlling charging sessions during off-peak times without compromising comfort.
• Automation: Smart charging automatically plans charging sessions to ensure that the vehicle is always ready.
• Cost savings: Smart charging optimizes energy consumption, thereby reducing the cost of charging electric vehicles.

1. Strategy: Together with you, we create an overarching mission statement for the development of a charging infrastructure that suits you. Based on your mission statement, we move on to the design and implementation phase.
2. Analysis: We work with you to define the requirements for a smart charging infrastructure, look at the property, neighbourhood or city in terms of its performance, research funding and support you in submitting the necessary applications.
3. Conception: We advise you on the expansion of your charging infrastructure and smart grids in order to optimise implementation in terms of space, content and cost. We also work with you to clarify the operating model and digitalisation strategy.
