MDPI, Transformation of A66 Event Hall, Basel

As part of an alliance-based project delivery model, Drees & Sommer Switzerland acted as project manager for the transformation of MDPI’s former industrial hall into the versatile A66 event venue. The aim of the project was to create a space that fosters interaction, exchange, and inspiration while meeting the requirements of a wide range of event formats.

The existing hall structure was carefully developed and enhanced with modern elements. The result is a high-quality event venue offering a high degree of flexibility for conferences, presentations, workshops, networking events, and corporate functions. The combination of industrial character, contemporary amenities, and thoughtful spatial design creates a unique atmosphere for visitors.

Close collaboration among all project participants ensured that the requirements for functionality, design, and user experience were successfully implemented.
