Residential Buildings
New construction of multi-family house on Freihofstrasse in Erlenbach
Erlenbach municipality
Baumann Roserens Architekten AG
2021 – Q1/2027
7 Mio. CHF
A new multi-family house is being built at Freihofstrasse 5/9 in Erlenbach.
The plan is for a balanced polygonal building with three full stories, a basement, and an attic floor. Twelve apartments will be built, each with its own balcony or terrace. With its varied and staggered volume and structured wooden facade, it blends respectfully into the existing residential environment.
The focus is on creating affordable, high-quality living space. Sustainability is also a priority. For example, a photovoltaic system will be installed on the roof and the wood for the façade will come entirely from the Erlenbach forest. The circular concrete used in the load-bearing structure stores around 10 kg of CO₂ per ton. When selecting materials, attention is paid to minimizing environmental impact. Wherever possible, natural and renewable building materials are used.
ARGE Baumann Roserens Architekten AG / Drees & Sommer Switzerland has been awarded the contract to implement the project as general planner.
