Drees & Sommer Luxembourg, together with partners in a joint venture, is overseeing the construction of administrative buildings in the Kirchberg district of Luxembourg City. Client is the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Luxembourg, represented by the Administration des Pâtiments publics. As part of a joint venture, Drees & Sommer Luxembourg serves as the project partner and is responsible for key tasks in project implementation. In its role as coordinator, Drees & Sommer supports the client in managing the complex planning and implementation processes and ensures coordination among all project participants.
A new administrative campus is being built on a site covering approximately 1.6 hectares, consisting of three separate buildings grouped around a central landscaped park. The new buildings will provide approximately 1,000 modern workspaces for European and national institutions.
A six-story building will serve as the headquarters of the European Stability Mechanism. Two additional buildings are intended for Luxembourg government agencies, including the Administrative Court and the Ministry of Finance. One of these buildings will be complemented by a high-rise tower.
The project is consistently geared toward achieving DGNB Platinum certification and combines high architectural quality with sustainable construction. A wood-concrete hybrid structure, energy-efficient facades, and resource-conserving structural concepts contribute significantly to achieving the ambitious environmental goals.
