University Psychiatric Clinic (UPK), Basel

The University Psychiatric Clinics (UPK) in Basel are among the leading psychiatric clinics in Switzerland, providing 300 beds in four specialized clinics. In recent years, almost all of the buildings have been renovated and adapted to meet increased requirements.

Drees & Sommer was commissioned to assist the UPK with the procurement of cleaning services and textile and laundry supplies. We also analyzed the existing facility management organization and identified potential for further targeted development. This involved critically examining the organization and processes and identifying clear measures for optimization.
