Project duration

March 2019 - November 2019

With the help of Lean Construction Management, the team was able to fully meet the various requirements: The triad of overall process analysis, process planning and panel planning led to success - and the project was completed by the agreed deadline. In addition, Lean Construction Management promoted cleanliness and safety on the construction site and led to short decision-making paths.

  • Lean Construction Management
  • Support of local project management
  • Document management/inventory documentation

Drees & Sommer Austria was commissioned to support the construction of the e-shelter data center in Vienna: Specifically, this involved the use of lean construction management during the expansion phase, support for local construction management, document management, and as-built documentation.

e-shelter was constructing a highly complex data center building in Vienna. Due to the complexity of the project, e-shelter commissioned Drees & Sommer with Lean Construction Management. Further challenges were the tight schedule and limited logistics space. The individual award of contracts for the various trades resulted in many interfaces that had to be coordinated.
