New construction of the boarding school of the Agricultural College Klessheim in passive house standard. Awarded with klima:aktiv Medal.

 A two-storey main building with a single-storey connecting component to boarding school 1, which with its upper floor is built on wall sections, which were continued in analogy with the historical walls of the castle. The outer wall facing the street forms a protected courtyard due to its continuation. This is upstream of the connecting component and can be used as an outdoor recreation area.

The main building has a basement and is connected to the lower school grounds via an underpass below Klessheimerstraße.

Technical equipment:
Heating: Connection to the existing heating system with district heating supply, partial relocation of the existing pipe, FB heating in all areas on the ground floor and upper floor, activation of the STB ceiling in the KG, rooms with individual room control 

Hot water: residential stations coupled to the heating system, wet cell areas (boarding and general wet rooms) with "fresh water modules", plate heat exchangers for hot water production (continuous system)

Ventilation: For ventilation of the dormitory rooms, a ventilation system is used as living room ventilation. The exhaust air is extracted from the baths and the supply air is introduced into the dormitory rooms. Likewise, the internal rooms in the KG and on the ground floor are connected to the mechanical ventilation. The ventilation system is equipped with a heat recovery system.

Electrical: lightning protection system and potential compensation, EDP network, public address system, fire alarm system, door intercom station in the entrance area, access control in the main entrance areas, telephone system, indoor and outdoor lighting by LED.

Added value for the customer:
The boarding school building is built to passive house standard. Achievement of the klima:aktiv Bronze quality level according to the criteria catalogue for construction and renovation. This klima:aktiv criteria catalogue serves to document and evaluate the energetic and ecological quality of newly built educational institutions. An economical, economical and appropriate implementation by pm1 was ensured, as already in the tender phase the klima:aktiv criteria were taken into account and the costs could be managed accordingly by the interaction, the preparation of the course and the local building supervision. For quality assurance, a blower-door test is carried out.
