Since July 2026, Carolin Muckenhuber and Stephan Tauber have jointly headed the Linz office of planning and project management company Drees & Sommer Austria. Together, they bring many years of experience in project and construction management, site supervision and the delivery of complex construction projects. With its new dual leadership team, Drees & Sommer aims to further expand its range of services in the region.

The new management team aims to further strengthen Drees & Sommer’s market position in Upper Austria, win new projects, expand the Linz team and provide clients with an even more comprehensive range of services. The professional experience of the two office heads complements each other ideally: Carolin Muckenhuber brings extensive project experience in both new-build and existing-building projects, including in the healthcare, industrial, office and commercial sectors. Stephan Tauber’s areas of expertise include refurbishment and revitalisation projects as well as project management and site supervision. Together, the two office heads therefore cover the entire spectrum from development and management through to implementation across a range of asset classes.

“We want to offer the full range of our services from our Linz office and significantly expand our presence in the region. I am looking forward to continuing to develop the office together with our team,” explains Carolin Muckenhuber.

“Our goal is to achieve sustainable growth in Linz while creating added value for our clients in the region and beyond through reliably managed construction projects. Our ambition is to successfully guide even complex projects through every phase and give our clients the confidence that their investments are being implemented efficiently and economically,” says Stephan Tauber.

Opened in 2021, Drees & Sommer’s Linz office was the company’s first location in Austria outside Vienna and continues to play an important role in its growth strategy. “With Carolin Muckenhuber and Stephan Tauber, two experienced project managers are now taking over the management of the office. Both know our company, the region and the requirements of complex construction projects extremely well. With their complementary expertise, they will lead the Linz office into its next phase of development,” explains Nicole Rumpler, Managing Director of Drees & Sommer Austria.
