Michael Soschner Takes Over as Head of Drees & Sommer’s Innsbruck Office

Michael Soschner is the new Head of the Innsbruck office of real estate consulting and project management company Drees & Sommer Austria. With more than 20 years of experience in project management, client representation and business development, Soschner will work together with the Innsbruck team to drive the further development of the location.

Real estate and construction projects are becoming increasingly complex. In addition to schedule and cost certainty, sustainable and economically viable solutions, digital processes and a consistent focus on the requirements of users and clients are becoming increasingly important. With Michael Soschner, an experienced expert in project management and client representation is taking over the management of Drees & Sommer Austria’s Innsbruck office.

Soschner has many years of experience in managing complex construction projects, particularly in the healthcare sector. Most recently, as a member of the management team at the Upper Austrian Health Holding (OÖG), he was responsible for client representation and project management for major healthcare construction projects. In his new role, he will drive the further development of the Innsbruck office, with a particular focus on expanding the integrated delivery of real estate and infrastructure projects.

Current references include the House of Physics at the University of Innsbruck and the new RAIQA urban quarter in the centre of Innsbruck. “Our Innsbruck office is an important part of our growth strategy in western Austria. About Michael Soschner

Michael Soschner began his career with an apprenticeship as a construction and furniture carpenter, gaining first-hand experience of the construction and real estate industry from the ground up. He subsequently studied civil engineering at FH Campus Wien and also completed an MBA specialising in Management & Sales. During his career, he held positions at Delta Projektconsult, Prisma and the Cernin Group, among others. He then spent several years as a Managing Director in project development and client representation. Most recently, at the Upper Austrian Health Holding (OÖG), he was responsible for client representation and project management for complex healthcare construction projects. Michael Soschner has headed Drees & Sommer Austria’s Innsbruck office since June 2026.
