The Digital Pavilion on the Hammerbrooklyn.DigitalCampus in Hamburg has been awarded the new SmartScore Smart Building Platinum certification by WiredScore. This is the first time since the launch of the certification that WiredScore has awarded its highest certification level to a building in Germany, making the Pavilion the one smartest certified building in the world. The building is also the first to ever achieve the maximum score of 100 percent.

SmartScore building certification establishes the criteria for a Smart Building and, as a global standard, certifies buildings with particularly smart features. The evaluation covers all user requirements implemented for Smart Buildings, as well as the technologies, systems, processes and procedures that support their implementation.

Drees & Sommer is providing digitization consulting and project management services for the project. We have also been delivering construction management support since 2017. The main challenge is the technical and creative harmonization of the established building’s character with the specifications for a modern office and event building. The Digital Pavilion offers innovative workplaces, teaching and event spaces, showrooms and retail areas, as well as spaces for studios and food & beverage outlets. In keeping with the digital character of the campus, it is planned as a Customized Smart Building. The practical digitization strategy delivers benefits for both users and the operator.
