December 2020 saw the formal acceptance and the symbolic handover of the keys to the residential and commercial building Westspitze in Tübingen, Germany.

On the site of the former freight railroad station, with an area of 3,686 square meters, the Westspitze project has been realized in a period of just over two years to create a new and vibrant neighborhood with approximately 7,350 square meters of residential space and around 1,200 square meters of commercial space on the ground floor. Building work began in September 2018. The project which has now been completed offers a balanced mixture of residential accommodation, workplaces and shopping outlets. In addition to the retail space for a supermarket and a further small commercial unit, the project includes a total of 106 residential units, ranging from small studio apartments to five-room apartments. The project especially catered for the demand for small apartments in Tübingen. 111 underground car parking spaces and about 200 bike parking spaces are available for residents, office users and supermarket clients. As a result of the successful acceptance inspection, the real estate investment management company Quantum Immobilien Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft mbH symbolically received the key to the residential and commercial building Westspitze from the real estate company WILMA Immobilien-Gruppe, Baden-Wuerttemberg region.

The project was implemented in a relatively short construction period of 26 months. Drees & Sommer Construction Management was commissioned with the technical project monitoring on behalf of Quantum Immobilien Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft. Parallel to the construction process, Drees & Sommer also carried out quality assurance and tasks such as inspection of the plans, consultation for the client and support in the acceptance process.
