The prestigious new construction project Residence van Oranje is being realized on the Koningin Wilhelmina Boulevard in Noordwijk: two new apartment complexes with 70 high-end apartments and penthouses (surface areas ranging from 150 to 525 m², prices from €1,725,000 to €8,250,000). Simultaneously with the construction of the 70 apartments and penthouses, the adjacent Hotel van Oranje is undergoing a total metamorphosis.

The hallmark of Residence van Oranje is its "white glove treatment": residents have many of the same luxury amenities as the adjacent new Hotel van Oranje, such as 24/7 service & security, secured access, concierge service, and secured parking. In addition, they have access to all of the hotel's wellness facilities, such as the beauty and massage salons, hair studio, saunas, steam room, jacuzzi, solarium, and the largest wave pool in Europe.

Drees & Sommer Netherlands is involved in the Residence van Oranje project as director, contract manager, and construction cost manager. During performance, Drees & Sommer fulfills the roles of executive/supervisor and quality manager on behalf of the client. Because Residence van Oranje and Hotel van Oranje are also physically connected, Drees & Sommer is actively involved in all matters where integration needs to be ensured. In parallel to the boulevard, an apartment complex with 23 apartments is being built for the same client, Residence van Henegouwen. The assignment includes contracting the ESCO party that will supply cold and heat to all buildings – Residence van Henegouwen, Residence van Oranje, and Hotel van Oranje. Supervising the expansion of the hotel on the second floor and the underground parking garage is also part of the assignment.

The creation of the new building has now begun. The property that houses Hotel van Oranje is expected to reopen in the 2023 beach season. Completion of Residence van Oranje is scheduled for late 2024/early 2025.
