Drees & Sommer Switzerland is supporting SBB Immobilien AG in the planning and implementation of its new training center at Vulkanstrasse in Zurich. The center will be used for the further development of SBB employees and managers and as a training center for future train drivers. Specially designed real-life simulators with train driver stands will be made available on the premises.
 
Since October 2022, the Drees & Sommer Real Estate Consulting REC3 team, in its role as project manager for use and operation, has been recording the requirements of users and operations and incorporating them into the planning accordingly. The Real Estate Consulting team will remain the link between the overall project and the user until the end of the project and will support the move to the new space.
 
Drees & Sommer Switzerland will also be responsible for general planning from April 2023 to the end of 2024 and will be in charge of construction management, HVAC and sprinkler planning, cost and schedule management as well as local construction management.
