Drees & Sommer carried out a review of the planning for the consolidation of the two Kempten hospitals – in Robert-Weixler-Strasse and the Psychiatric Department of the Schwaben District Hospital. Successful goal planning allowed the two hospitals to be brought together under one roof after only 2.5 years, with almost no interim measures. The second functional area with the central emergency room and radiology was completed just a year later in autumn 2013.
