Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy Congress

Every year, representatives from business, science, and politics meet at the “KONGRESS BW for Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy” organized by the state of Baden-Württemberg. The practical program is as diverse as the challenges facing companies undergoing transformation: plenary sessions providing an overview of the topics, forums for in-depth discussion, company exhibitions, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and a reception hosted by the Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection, and the Energy Sector.

In the forum “Start to Re-Think: Industrial Re-Use and Secondary Raw Material Centers for the Construction Industry,” moderated by the DGNB, experts from EPEA – Part of Drees & Sommer will present the recyclable redesign of material flows from demolition and renovation. Together with industrial companies from the construction sector, we will learn about new business and material flow models for building construction and civil engineering through industrial reuse and new secondary raw material centers. Manufacturers will participate in new secondary raw material sources, supported by platforms that connect supply and demand for raw materials through demolition processes. In addition, temporary raw material centers offer the opportunity to process construction waste into valuable raw materials. This conserves resources and increases security of supply in the regions.

The 14th KONGRESS BW will take place on October 22 and 23, 2025, at the Liederhalle in Stuttgart.
