Horváth and Drees & Sommer Join Forces in the Field of Hydrogen Economy

The international management consultancy firm Horváth and the consulting company Drees & Sommer SE, which provides consulting services for the construction and real estate sector, combine their competencies in the field of hydrogen economy. The goal of the cooperation is to advise clients successfully in the concept development and implementation of hydrogen strategies and projects. In this way, both companies want to help to achieve the European climate goals by assisting industrial companies and the public sector in the reduction of emissions. They will be supported by Dr. Stefan Kaufmann, the former Commissioner for Hydrogen of the German Government.

Europe wants to become the first climate-neutral continent. For business companies, this means that by 1945 they should no longer emit net greenhouse gases. In view of these ambitious climate goals, Horváth and Drees & Sommer are strengthening their existing collaboration which aims to accelerate the energy transition, especially in the area of the hydrogen economy. To this end, the two consulting companies are combining their expertise in strategic and operational management and project consultancy services. As part of their new hydrogen cooperation, Horváth and Drees & Sommer support clients in the development of climate-friendly business models, the creation ofPage 3 hydrogen ecosystems and the conversion of complete production and infrastructure facilities for the use of hydrogen as a gradual replacement of fossil energy sources. The cooperation will be expended nationally and internationally, in order to further strengthen their clients’ competitiveness. For this purpose, Horvath and Drees & Sommer have mandated the former hydrogen commissioner of the German government, Dr. Stefan Kaufmann. From June 2020 until July 2022 the proven expert in hydrogen worked as Innovation Commissioner Green Hydrogen at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
