The German logistics industry’s annual kick-off event – the Euroforum annual conference ‘Logistics Real Estate 2022’ – took place on February 1 and 2 in Düsseldorf as a hybrid event.
As one of the speakers, Janine Zimmermann, Head of Logistics at Drees & Sommer, presented the latest information on a range of topics including ESG, sustainability consulting and Green Building. In her presentation entitled “Cradle to Cradle, mixed-use and the last mile”, she outlined the key considerations when designing sustainable logistics hubs.
The projects presented at the event also gave an indication of where things are heading for the logistics sector. For example, Bavaria’s largest green roof was given just as much coverage as Smart Customized Warehousing.
