CLINIC PROJECT IN IDAR-OBERSTEIN - WHEN A HOLISTIC PLANNING APPROACH MEETS VIRTUAL REALITY

As part of our project to modernize and expand the Idar-Oberstein Clinic, we successfully placed and implemented "User Voting 2.0" together with our cooperation partner Inspacion, a virtual reality platform.

In addition to the heart center at Berlin's Charité hospital, this is the second hospital project in Germany to incorporate this cutting-edge technology in the form of virtual reality for user involvement in planning.

What is special?

By using innovative technologies, we can evaluate and optimize the planning with regard to processes and workflows - subsequent, often cost-intensive adjustments can thus be avoided. At the same time, we use Inspacion to strengthen communication and user acceptance between the planning team and the hospital staff, thus achieving a discussion at eye level.

In addition to the use of virtual reality, the client Saarland Heilstätten GmbH is also aiming for sustainable planning in line with the cradle-to-cradle (C2C) principle for the first construction phase in this project, with Drees & Sommer working together with EPEA.

In order to sensitize the entire planning team with regard to circular planning, there will be an intensive workshop with clear recommendations for action after a comprehensive C2C pre-check by EPEA.

An exciting and versatile project!
