cruh21, a strategic project consultant for green hydrogen, sector coupling and offshore hydrogen, is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Drees & Sommer SE. This acquisition will consolidate the Group’s expertise in relation to the energy transition.

With its current workforce of around 20 employees, cruh21 specializes in consulting services and the conceptual design of (offshore) hydrogen projects. cruh21 has been a leading consultancy in this segment in Germany since it was founded in 2019 and thus ideally complements Drees & Sommer’s own expertise.

The merger positions Drees & Sommer at an early stage in the dynamically developing market for the hydrogen economy and renewable energies. The combined strengths of the two companies in consulting, planning and implementing projects in this field will enable their experts to provide single-source support for customers and offer a comprehensive range of services.

Under the ongoing leadership of the managing directors Jimmie Langham, Meiko Neumann and Dr. Ursula Prall, cruh21 GmbH will continue to develop its portfolio as ‘ cruh21 – Part of Drees & Sommer’. Björn Jesse and Christoph Gawlik are responsible for the company’s consolidation within the Drees & Sommer Group. Both companies are delighted with the merger and knowledge pooling with the aim of further accelerating the much-needed energy transition.
