The Drees & Sommer construction logistics team is undertaking planning and control of construction logistics on the new mother-and-child clinic at Würzburg University Hospital and for the refurbishment and expansion of the inner-city Julius Spital Clinic in Würzburg. The major project is scheduled for completion in October 2030.
The extensive construction work poses various challenges: the existing clinic is largely a listed building. The protected baroque garden and the access and exit routes of the largest wine cellar in the Juliusspital have to be taken into account in the context of construction site logistics. In addition, the project is being carried out in the challenging environment of ongoing hospital operations.
