New Integrated Control Center Strengthens Emergency Care in Four Counties

The new Fürstenfeldbruck Integrated Control Center has begun operations in Maisach. It centralizes operational control for emergency medical services, the fire department, and disaster response in the districts of Fürstenfeldbruck, Landsberg, Dachau, and Starnberg, thereby enhancing safety throughout the region.

The new building in the Maisach industrial park replaces the previous control center in Fürstenfeldbruck, whose facilities no longer met growing demands. The brick-clad building is specifically designed for highly sensitive 24/7 operations. At its heart is the control room with twelve dispatch stations. Five screens per station, along with additional large-format displays, clearly present operational events, weather data, and hospital capacities—a crucial foundation for making quick and reliable decisions.

Drees & Sommer supported this large-scale project from the initial concept through to its successful commissioning. The team handled project management and oversight, assisted with the awarding of contracts, and helped with the application for and administration of government grants. The result is a state-of-the-art control center that meets the highest standards for security, availability, and functionality—thereby strengthening emergency care and disaster response in the region for the long term.
