“Demand for digitized, flexible and hybrid work, communication and collaboration systems is constantly increasing. Drees & Sommer’s 100-percent shareholding in macom is an important element of our strategy of further expanding our pioneering role in the digitization of the construction and real estate industries. macom’s proven expertise in the area of networked, modular system architectures that combine IT/AV and smart building components further enhance our strengths,” says Dierk Mutschler, Member of the Executive Board of Drees & Sommer SE.
Björn Jensen, the founder of macom, commented: “Following the successful growth of macom Group in recent years and the establishment of an outstanding team, Drees & Sommer is our partner of choice to continue the company’s strategic roadmap, and realize macom’s vision of becoming the European market leader. Drees & Sommer has the necessary structures in place and a clearly defined corporate strategy that is a perfect fit with macom’s path to date.”
Oliver Mack, Managing Director of macom, also expressed his satisfaction: “Our strategic partnership with Drees & Sommer, which has been in place since 2020, has shown us that – in addition to strong customer focus and agility – both companies aspire to successfully driving digital transformation in their joint projects. Backed by such a powerful parent as Drees & Sommer, macom is now able to implement projects involving considerably greater scope and greater geographical reach. In addition, our customers will benefit from a significantly expanded range of products and services in the areas such as sustainability and Smart Buildings.”
The overarching goal of the shareholding is to jointly drive the digital transformation of customers’ companies. Under the leadership of Oliver Mack, macom will continue to develop its portfolio under the brand ‘macom – Part of Drees & Sommer’.
