At the end of October, the pharmaceutical group Bayer held a topping-out ceremony for the production expansion in Weimar. The packaging building will be remodeled by 2025 while operations continue and clean room conditions are maintained.
The pharmaceutical group Bayer is expanding its production facility in Weimar. Around 570 employees currently work at the site, which is the largest production facility in the city. The company plans to invest a total of around 35 million euros in the modernization.
The existing space in the packaging building will be expanded by around 30 percent, with new space for additional lines and an expansion of the existing packaging lines. The challenge is to implement the project while operations continue and while maintaining the clean room conditions.
