Würth invests in LCM Digital: a milestone in the digital transformation of the construction industry

Adolf Würth GmbH invests in LCM Digital, a corporate start-up of Drees & Sommer Group, thus making it the second partner. This strategic step underlines the commitment of both companies to the future of the construction industry and their joint goal of driving digitalization.

LCM Digital, a spin-off from Drees & Sommer founded in 2020, has already proven itself with its cloud solution based on lean management principles in over 500 projects of renowned construction companies. The platform combines management, scheduling, and execution on a synchronized, real-time platform, making complex construction projects faster and more cost-efficient than traditional project management solutions.

The investment from Würth now makes it possible for LCM Digital to expand its market presence. In addition, following approval from Brussels, the platform is to be further developed together with the experts from Drees & Sommer and Würth in order to drive forward the digital transformation of the construction industry.

Joining LCM Digital lays the foundation for a sustainable, strategic partnership between Würth and Drees & Sommer. Both companies have already worked together successfully in the past and developed an innovative module for technical building equipment, which was installed in the new Drees & Sommer company headquarters.

“The construction of the future is based on digital methods. Together with Würth and LCM Digital, we are pooling our expertise and creating synergies for the digitalization of the construction industry. Our stated goal with this partnership is to make construction simpler, more efficient, and more cost-effective,” says Dirk Mutschler, Chairman of the Drees & Sommer Group, emphasizing the importance of this partnership.
