A new, vibrant, high-tech workplace for BBC Worldwide
Drees & Sommer has been involved in the Jean Monnet 2 new construction project since June 2015 and as part of its mission is supporting the Luxembourg Building Construction Administration in the role of client representative.
Drees & Sommer is also using its appropriate control and technical expertise on site on the Kirchberg plateau to coordinate with the user, the European Commission.
The new administrative complex of the European Union will comprise almost 200,000 square meters of offices, conference rooms, restaurants, a library, and other special areas. The building is divided into two components: a 90-meter-high office tower and a 6-story building block. A total of 3,500 to 4,000 employees are to be accommodated in the low-energy building with energy efficiency class A, which has already achieved BREEAM “Excellent” certification.
The BATIMENT JEAN MONNET 2 is one of our Top Projects — a category reserved for work we are especially proud of. These projects have not only delivered exceptional value for our clients, but have also shaped us as a company.
Why the BATIMENT JEAN MONNET 2 deserves a place among our Top Projects:

- Multi-functional design: This administrative complex includes a 90-meter office tower and a six-story building block that bring together offices, conference rooms, restaurants, and a library.
