A training center for all amateur music associations and choirs in the state of Baden-Württemberg is being built in Plochingen. The two-part complex consists of rehearsal and seminar rooms and offices, and a separate dormitory with catering facilities. The building was designed by the renowned architectural firm, Lederer Ragnarsdóttir Oei. One of the key challenges was to insulate the new ‘House of Amateur Music’ and its users from noise from the adjacent railway lines despite the window facade.

Drees & Sommer Construction Management has been commissioned to undertake site supervision for building services (cost group 400).
