Tabernacle Street, in Shoreditch -  a finalist for Architects Journal Retrofit Awards 2019 - had been acquired by Boultbee LDN and developed in a joint venture with  boutique developer City Innovations, with plans in place to redevelop it into a space to attract tech companies.

Adjoining a Grade I listed church, the project included Cat A fit out and extension to the ground and third floors to create a 2,084m2 building and all within challenging and fixed structural parameters.

Drees & Sommer was appointed as Cost Managers by Propitas, Boultbee LDN/City Innovations’ Project Managers for this complex project. Providing cost management services, Drees & Sommer worked with the joint venture partners in helping to completely refit the building, renew mechanical and electrical systems, as well as the installation of new centralised plant systems and a roof top extension and terrace.

The result was a building with statement reception, roof terrace and extra lettable high-spec modern office space.
