The main gate of TRUMPF Werkzeugmaschinenfabrik GmbH in Ditzingen is the entrance gate to the redesigned company headquarters. The cantilevered roof – with its huge projection – rests on just a small number of supports, which are only visible inside the registration zone. A translucent facade was created on two sides by stacking plexiglass tubes of different sizes between two panes of glass. The roof soffit is clad with laser-formed aluminum sheets.
