Edyn Limited

Project duration

April 2020 – April 2023

Location

Munich, Germany

Edyn group’s WunderLocke design aparthotel in Munich’s Obersendling district redefines hospitality: The 360 rooms spread over 8 floors are not just a place to sleep, but a sanctuary that gives guests a sense of belonging and space to live, relax and work.

This ambience and level of service is made possible by the hotel rooms having been designed as studios and suites with integrated kitchenette, as well as by the spacious courtyard level, in which reception, lobby, coworking spaces and meeting areas, restaurant, gym and sauna are shared front of house areas.

The former office building, which was built in the 1960s, was stripped back to the shell, the appendix fitted out, a penthouse floor added, and the basement level opened up to create shared spaces. These flank the courtyard oasis with its heated outdoor pool.

Drees & Sommer was initially tasked with detailed implementation planning and the tendering process for the front of house areas, but was later commissioned to undertake additional roles covering the entire hotel and its outdoor areas. The Drees & Sommer team, led by the Group’s experts for User-Centric Consulting and Design in Munich managed and implemented the project and proved their value to the client as a reliable and responsive partner.
