Drees & Sommer SE and LV Baumanagement AG, a construction management company founded more than 20 years ago, joined forces on February 20, 2023. LV Baumanagement AG offers civil engineering and building construction services from a single source. The integration allows Drees & Sommer to offer a comprehensive range of construction management services nationwide: From early subsoil consultation and excavation planning, cost planning and management right through to project realization and commissioning to ensure optimal start of operation of the properties, plant and equipment.

The Stuttgart-based consulting and engineering company macomGROUP has been a 100-percent subsidiary of Drees & Sommer SE since January 24, 2023. The acquisition is part of the systematic expansion of our digital expertise. macom has established itself as a leading provider of high-quality IT and audiovisual (AV) solutions. This unique combination of competencies will allow us to offer complete digital transformation solutions in the areas of future work and learning environments, and theme parks.

digitales bauen has developed a digital planning method that can translate every individual architectural draft and all technical building plans into modules. The modules are summarized in catalogs, where they are systematically processed as a whole. The aim is that identical areas and designs, such as offices or sanitary areas, are planned only once. The modules are planning standards, logistics standards and assembly standards in one. Ideally, they can be completely prefabricated using industrial techniques and assembled efficiently on the building site.

Drees & Sommer and the former EPEA Internationale Umweltforschung GmbH joined forces on January 1, 2019. After five years of close partnership advising clients and investors, Drees & Sommer and Professor Dr. Michael Braungart have formally teamed up to create a new company under the name of EPEA GmbH – Part of Drees & Sommer. The objective of the combination is to establish Cradle to Cradle® design principles for the circular economy in all sectors of industry.

The Vienna-based company Die Werkbank was integrated into the Drees & Somme Group on January 1, 2022. The acquisition included the company’s subsidiary Next IT Services Ltd., based in Sofia, Bulgaria. The business combination allows Drees & Sommer to further expand its competence in the digital field. The new colleagues from Next IT Services Ltd. will significantly broaden the in-house expertise of the Group in the area of CAD, BIM, VR and AR. Die Werkbank specializes in digital solutions for planning, construction and operation processes in the building sector.

Our participation aedifion is integrated into the Drees & Sommer Group since December 2021 and makes buildings more climate-friendly. aedifion GmbH is based in the German city of Cologne and operates a cloud platform for the analysis and optimization of smart buildings. The intelligent AI-based software automatically analyzes and adjusts the operation of the building so that energy efficiency and comfort are increased, CO2 emissions are reduced and the operating costs are minimized.
