Event 2025
Energy meets Industries: The energy transition – the shift from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources – is well underway both in the economy and in society. And that’s a positive development that allows us to be confident about the challenges that lie ahead. Because we still have a long way to go. But we have already shown that we are taking huge strides in the right direction.
Combining a comprehensive sustainability transformation while maintaining Germany’s competitive edge as an industrial base will continue to be our focus in 2025.
We have long known that this transformation impacts every sector – and that we can only achieve success by working together. So we need to discuss our approach, including the following key questions:
The transformation of industry is gaining momentum: What can we learn from the projects that have already been implemented?
BESS – Battery Energy Storage Systems: Are these answer to the restructuring of our energy infrastructure or just a short-term trend?
Hydrogen, CO2, ‘waste’ heat: What infrastructure is required for decarbonization?
From thermal design to implementation: What are the factors that determine whether a project is successful?
The Energy meets Industries event will take place from 09:00 to 14:00 on October 23, 2025 at the ZAL TechCenter in Hamburg. We cordially invite you to attend an exclusive panel discussion for business leaders from 18:30 on the day before the event (October 22).
A highlight awaits you on the afternoon of October 23. We will then transfer from the ZAL to a barge and take a tour of the Port of Hamburg, gaining first-hand insights into the energy transition and transformation projects.
The program on board offers you insights from renowned personalities such as Prof. Schellnhuber and in-depth practical perspectives on pioneering projects in the Port of Hamburg, including ammonia terminals, direct air capture approaches, and the construction of the 100 MW electrolyzer.
The combination of networking, high-caliber expert presentations, and insights into the practical workings of the Port of Hamburg concludes this year's Energy Meets Industries event.
We believe in the principle that ‘Entrepreneurs engage”. In other words, we would like you – as experts and decision-makers – to take part in the discussions, sharing your needs and your experience, and working together to develop solutions.
