De Jong DUKE in Sliedrecht is an innovative and international family business that focuses on the development and production of coffee and espresso machines for the business market. Due to growth, they needed larger accommodation for their production process, storage, shipping and office. Drees & Sommer (formerly BOAG) supervised and advised De Jong DUKE.

We started with an extensive location analysis. In cooperation with the client and the stakeholders, we drew up the Specifications, which formed the guideline for the subsequent feasibility studies and technical due diligence investigations (TDDs) for various new building plots and premises to be converted. In the end, an existing distribution center was chosen, which had to be thoroughly modified in order to meet the client’s requirements. The new accommodation in Sliedrecht has approximately 8,000 m² of storage and production space and 2,000 m² of office space.

Our team supervised and managed the preparation and implementation process and monitored the budget, risks, organization, time and quality. The activities therefore include architectural, installation engineering and building physics consultancy from the research phase through to the implementation and aftercare phases. The revitalized accommodation was completed in early 2020.
