New building for the Faculty of Architecture brings traditional discipline to the central campus 

What once began in the small Regensburg district of Prüfening is now finding its place in the heart of the OTH's central campus. The institutes that were not previously located on the central campus are moving into the new building complex as part of the so-called “remaining relocation.” The new faculty building for architecture and the new administration building are part of the campus consolidation. This was preceded by the new building on the neighboring property for the mechanical engineering faculty.  

A new building that brings people together  

In the six-story new building, the “teaching offices” extend like a lecture hall over several levels up to the roof terrace. This is where students and teachers from the fields of architecture, industrial design, building climate control, and historical building research come together. Exposed concrete walls delimit the open and high-ceilinged rooms. Drees & Sommer, together with Henning Larsen, was responsible for project supervision as well as tendering and contract award services.
