Developed a comprehensive strategy for modernization during ongoing operations and managed its successful implementation over several years

“Climate protection starts on your doorstep” – this is the slogan used by Sparkasse Aschaffenburg Miltenberg to promote its credit and financing offers for energy-efficient property renovation. In recent years, the savings bank has proven that it is actively contributing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Germany. Between 2015 and 2024, it renovated the customer hall and consultation rooms at its main branch in Aschaffenburg. It replaced all ventilation systems and technical infrastructure and converted all lighting to LED. The result: energy consumption fell by 70 percent.  

Goal-oriented with prudence and consistency

The savings bank renovated its branch while continuing to operate. Accordingly, the project required patience and good coordination. From the outset, Drees & Sommer was responsible for ensuring that everything ran as smoothly as possible. This began with a comprehensive strategy to modernize the architecture and technology and continued in a multi-year, multi-stage process. The experts were always on hand to assist the savings bank as consultants, planners, and managers.
