Haus zum Falken, Zurich

An iconic new building replaces the former Haus zum Falken and creates a dynamic connection between Stadelhofen station and central Zurich. In addition to retail space at street level and office workspace on the four upper floors, the new Haus zum Falken also houses underground bicycle parking. Technical systems generate electricity on the green roof.

Efficient creation of an architectural icon

Drees & Sommer supported the client and ensured the ambitious planning by the architectural firm Calatrava Valls was implemented efficiently. The building not only scores points for design but also meets the requirements of a sustainable new building. This is demonstrated not least by the sustainability certification according to the LEED Gold Standard, which the Drees & Sommer team helped its client achieve.
