On a lot covering over 7 hectares at the Dutch Fresh Port, Nieuw Reijerwaard in Ridderkerk, Impact Vastgoed developed an automated fulfilment center with a floor area of around 50,000 square meters comprising a warehouse, mezzanine and office.  Impact is leasing the building on a long-term basis to online supermarket Picnic, which will have automation installed after the building is completed without finishes.

The new fulfilment center is a state-of-the-art and innovative venue where groceries are collected and prepared for delivery to customers using the latest robotic technology. The warehouse will be delivered without finishes, after which Picnic will install the mechanics - which will include automated sorting, packing and distribution machines developed by Picnic itself.

Impact Vastgoed has requested Drees & Sommer to provide support in helping manage and structure the wishes and requirements of the investors and tenants in the contractor's design (build & design).Drees & Sommer oversaw the project management on behalf of Impact Vastgoed from design to completion.
