Office Buildings
Sparkasse Offenburg/Ortenau, Archern
Comprehensive management of the new Achern Customer Center construction project while ensuring transparency in costs, scheduling and quality
For many people, receiving financial advice in person, such as at a local branch, remains important. With its new Customer Center in Achern, Baden-Württemberg, Sparkasse Offenburg/Ortenau has built a brand-new branch in the heart of the town’s main marketplace. In addition to providing modern office space for the bank’s advisory and administrative departments, the L shaped timber and concrete building accommodates other tenants that encourage social interaction, including a bakery and health insurance provider. Sparkasse chose to construct an energy-efficient building because continued operation of the existing premise would no longer have been economically viable.
Successfully Managing Complex Requirements
We supported Sparkasse throughout the project, from the initial concept to the official grand opening. Our experts conducted a feasibility study and managed the architectural contract competition. They were also responsible for designing the building’s technical systems. Through structured tending and procurement processes, the team established a solid foundation for the successful delivery of the project. Continuous technical and commercial oversight ensured that decisions were always transparent and traceable at all times.
The new energy-efficient building includes a water-to-water heat pump that utilizes groundwater for heating, central ventilation systems with heat recovery, and a photovoltaic system.
As the project manager, we coordinated all stakeholders and maintained oversight of costs, schedules, and quality throughout the entire project. After just two years of construction, Sparkasse officially opened the new building in July 2026.
