In total, the Stachus building comprises five basement floors, which house an underground car park, access to the U- and S-Bahn, a pedestrian traffic junction and the shopping center, which is divided over the basement-levels one and two.

The building serves as the underpass of the Karlsplatz, the connection of tram, underground and S-Bahn as well as various department stores and is used daily by about 160,000 passers-by.

The project involved the complete reorganization of the store and passage units with an extended interior design on the lower floors and the entrances to Karlsplatz. In addition, the production of a 'noble raw construction' was realized in the rental areas intended for retail and gastronomy.

By coordinating the interfaces and stringent scheduling through Drees & Sommer, the project was completed on schedule.
