In the heart of Central Germany, the future of healthcare is taking shape. By 2031, the new campus of the Thüringen-Klinik “Georgius Agricola” will become a state-of-the-art healthcare facility named in honor of the renowned German scholar and pioneer of science, Georgius Agricola.

As one of the most significant infrastructure projects in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district since German reunification, the development marks a major investment in the region's healthcare future. The new six-story building will provide 330 inpatient beds and consolidate all hospital wards under one roof, with the exception of the Mental Health Center.

A centralized emergency department, advanced radiology services, and a women’s health center with obstetrics will provide comprehensive patient care across a broad range of medical specialties. A rooftop helipad will further enhance emergency response by reducing transfer times between the landing area, emergency department, intensive care unit, and operating rooms.
