Hamburg, Germany, July 20, 2021. Stuttgart-based Drees & Sommer SE is expanding its range of workplace design services in northern Germany. The planning and consulting company specializing in construction and real estate aims to strengthen its position in workplace consulting. For this reason, it has added the Hamburg-based general planning and consulting company vonhaveprojekt GmbH to its portfolio, in the form of a 100 percent shareholding with effect from the beginning of July 2021.

‘We have been working successfully in a trusting partnership with the vonhaveprojekt team on numerous projects over many years. Together we have implemented a lot of innovative solutions in the working environment that have met with a highly positive response from our clients. The digital transformation, a cultural shift towards working from home accelerated by Covid-19, and the shortage of skilled workers: all these factors require companies to implement new designs for their working environment. This is also resulting in increased demand at Drees & Sommer in northern Germany. Together with our new colleagues under one roof, we will be able to work more efficiently while continuing to meet the high-quality standards required by clients,’ said Professor Phillip Goltermann, responsible Partner at Drees & Sommer SE in Hamburg.

Founded by CEO Birgit von Have in 1992, vonhaveprojekt GmbH has been around for about 30 years. The company specializes in adapting the office space of companies and investors to the changing work environment. Its services range from requirements analysis and design through general planning of the interior, even including relocation management. ‘In association with Drees & Sommer, we will ensure that we continue to implement our upcoming client projects in the best possible way, enabling us to provide more comprehensive advice not only to our existing clients, but also to Drees & Sommer clients,’ said Birgit von Have. ‘So, I am very pleased that we can all work together as colleagues to create added value for our clients.’

Through real estate consulting, planning, design and controlling, vonhaveprojekt GmbH has worked on projects such as relocation of the Hamburger Sparkasse bank and the wind turbine manufacturer Nordex SE. The firm carried out the tenant-specific general planning and interior design for the Hamburg branch of Morgan Stanley, the investment banking and securities trading company. The 15-member team at vonhaveprojekt GmbH is interdisciplinary, with expertise in the fields of architecture, interior design, business administration, industrial engineering, as well as specialist planning for technology, acoustics, lighting and IT.

The ‘vonhaveprojekt’ brand will be continued until the end of the year. It will be fully integrated into Drees & Sommer SE starting from January 2022.
