Stuttgart and Berlin, Germany, Juni 26, 2026. Clearly people-centered management is a key driver of brand strength. This is not a matter of subjective perception. Instead, it is backed up by the evidence-based brand value study of the European Real Estate Brand (REB) Institute. Drees & Sommer SE, a consulting firm with headquarters in Stuttgart, once again won several awards at the Real Estate Brand Awards 2026. So, the company confirmed its position as one of the strongest corporate brands of the European real estate industry. As a result, the REB Institute also honored the managers behind the brand and recognized the continued strength of the management team: Steffen Szeidl won the CEO of the Year again; Sandra Brand was once again named CMO of the Year at the 2026 awards.
Drees & Sommer was at the top of key categories and markets in the ranking. In Germany, the company maintained its top spot in the categories Integrated Real Estate Manager and Project Manager. And in Austria, too, Drees & Sommer secured first place again as Project Manager. In addition, the company ranked seventh in the category Europe Integrated Real Estate Manager and came in fourth in the category Benelux Integrated Real Estate Manager – twice in the top ten. Yesterday’s success was rounded off with a major special award: based on scientifically collected metrics, Drees & Sommer received the Corporate Reliability 2026 award. This certifies the company as having the highest level of corporate reliability in the entire industry.
Sandra Brand, Partner and Chief Marketing Officer at Drees & Sommer SE said: “Our Drees & Sommer brand is based on clear leadership, innovative implementation and a commitment to being understood in the market. Our aim is not only to convey content, but also to create genuine relevance in the market. People and their projects are at the core of this.
They bring our work to life and maintain our positioning." The global partner-led consulting company Drees & Sommer SE has more than 6,500 employees at more than 80 locations worldwide. The firm supports clients across the real estate, infrastructure and industrial markets. In 2025, the company for the first time achieved sales of over one billion euros.
This corporate and brand success is also a reflection of a partnership-based, team-oriented management style at the corporate level. Spokesperson Steffen Szeidl, who was named CEO of the Year 2026, had already been honored by the European Real Estate Brand Institute in 2024 when this category was first introduced. Since then, he has received consistent recognition for his strong brand impact and leadership. Based on the REB brand value study, the award assesses the impact of managers on the corporate brand through clearly defined performance indicators.
Steffen Szeidl stands for a leadership approach that rigorously drives innovation, internationalization and sustainable transformation forward. “In the end, it is not the strategy on paper that matters, but how well we implement it together. Corporate success is always teamwork. Every day, our employees translate our corporate strategy into tangible results. They are the ones who deliver our brand over the long term.”
The Real Estate Brand Awards were based on the results of the REB brand value study 2026. This involved the examination of over 8,800 valuations by industry experts. Over 1,100 corporate brands in 23 subsectors and 47 European markets were analyzed on the basis of defined brand key ratios. The awards were exclusively based on empirical data; there was no jury and submissions from companies were not possible.
