With around 2,800 employees, Klinikum Aschaffenburg is one of the largest hospitals in northern Bavaria. In addition to the construction of a new operating center with eleven operating theaters and modern wards, a parent-child center is also being built.

Two wards, each with 30 beds for general child and adolescent care, a pediatric and neonatal ICU / IMC, a maternity ward with seven delivery rooms and a cesarean section as well as the emergency room will be put into operation in the new parent-child center. The KV emergency practice will also be housed in the new building in order to provide all-round care for the population.

Well-being in the wards is enhanced not only by the balanced and modern interior design, but also by the exposed location of the new building: most of the rooms have an unobstructed view of the immediately adjacent countryside.

Drees & Sommer is supporting the client with project management services from planning through execution to operation.
