Reutlingen West sewage treatment plant - new construction of 4th treatment stage
Drees & Sommer supportsthemunicipality in thetargeted and efficientrealizationof a wastewatertreatment plant
The city of Reutlingen is expanding the West sewage treatment plant by adding a fourth purification stage to specifically remove trace substances. This measure is being taken due to the sensitive nature of the Echaz watercourse, which receives the treated wastewater. A key component of the project is the planned heat recovery from the treated wastewater flow, which will be fed into the city's district heating network.
The project is being implemented in cooperation with FairNetz and FairEnergie. As part of the development, the client has also decided to construct a new secondary clarifier. This will be planned in conjunction with the fourth purification stage and includes the extension of the pipe channel. Drees & Sommer is managing the project, ensuring a structured approach, a clear roadmap, and transparent cost control for targeted and efficient implementation.
