Project Duration

June 2024 – End of 2026

The Wieslauftalbahn, affectionately known as the "Wiesel," is a vital branch line in Baden-Württemberg, connecting Schorndorf to Rudersberg. In June 2024, severe storms and flooding caused extensive damage to the line, bringing this key public transit connection in the Rems-Murr district to a standstill.

Our infrastructure experts supported Württembergische Eisenbahngesellschaft mbH (WEG) and the Wieslauftalbahn Transport Association with project management services and practical solutions. The goal was to restore rail service as quickly as possible. Thanks to close collaboration and the ability to bridge staffing shortages, operations resumed in record time.

Today, approximately 4,000 daily passengers can once again travel safely on the "Wiesel," and the Wieslauftalbahn continues to serve as a critical transportation artery in the Rems-Murr district.
