Innovative Solutions for Daycare centers and Schools

Renovation backlog and lack of space meet increased flexible space requirements. There is often a lack of energy efficiency and modern IT infrastructure. New pedagogical and didactic concepts are changing the requirements for school and learning spaces. Limited financial resources require affordable solutions.

Planning user-centered educational spaces

Whether new or existing buildings, planning modern educational spaces requires a clearly thought-out concept that is needs-based, efficient and sustainable. It is important to consider the needs of all parties involved and to develop a common understanding of learning and the appropriate infrastructure. With our support in phase 0 and the implementation of user requirements planning, we help private school authorities and the public sector to realize user-centered, economical and sustainable educational facilities. Our expertise in planning, implementation and operation enables us to create learning spaces that meet the requirements of the current and next generation.

Making educational buildings fit for the future

Good educational buildings have a clear pedagogical focus and a well thought-out spatial concept. Together with you, we develop individual concepts for innovative learning environments. In our pedagogical and didactic consulting, our experts combine pedagogical, sociological and construction know-how.  Step by step, a concept is created that focuses on the future users. We use qualitative social research methods such as workshops, world cafés, citizen dialogs, real-world labs, expert interviews, surveys and future workshops. This results in individual solutions with added value.

Systematically tackling the renovation backlog in educational buildings

Many daycare centers and schools are in need of renovation. Rising pupil numbers in urban areas, tight budgets and new requirements are increasing the pressure. With our multi-project management approach, we coordinate several construction projects in parallel. This allows us to pool resources, reduce costs and shorten construction times. As a professional temporary project department, we take on a large part of the client's tasks. We act in an integrated, holistic and solution-oriented manner. In doing so, we ensure cost-effectiveness, binding overall costs and adherence to realistic schedules in the required quality. Our construction management covers all phases of a construction project, from tendering to building operation, using innovative tools and agile methods to ensure flexible control of the construction site. In addition, our commissioning management ensures that the technical, functional and energy properties of the buildings meet the requirements right from the start in order to guarantee optimal operation.  We put together the right project team for the project from our colleagues. In this way, we help local authorities to systematically tackle the renovation backlog and create sustainable learning spaces.

Financing solutions for sustainable educational institutions

Many school authorities and local authorities are faced with the question: how can the planned construction projects be financed? The federal, state and EU governments offer numerous funding programs to create sustainable, modern and future-proof educational facilities. However, the variety of funding, complex application procedures and short deadlines make it difficult to make the most of all funding options. With our funding advice, we support school boards, local authorities and educational institutions in identifying suitable funding programs, submitting successful applications and securing sustainable funding.

SUSTAINABILITY WITH ADDED EDUCATIONAL VALUE

Infrastructure, especially educational buildings, must be durable. Sustainable educational buildings must be environmentally friendly, health-promoting and educationally valuable. Our solutions combine ecological responsibility with innovative learning spaces. We have the entire life cycle in mind. Cradle to Cradle® design, DGNB or BNB certification, near-natural or modular construction methods, flexible room concepts, economical energy concepts and participatory planning - just some of our approaches to creating an inspiring environment for sustainable learning. We support our clients from a single source and easily involve our experts as required.

"Educational construction always means investing in the future. Well thought-out architecture and clever concepts enable unique learning and living spaces that meet individual needs. With this premise in mind, we plan and manage projects that support and noticeably improve learning. It's great to see that our projects create sustainable, flexible spaces in which children of all ages feel comfortable and can develop."
