You can complete you application in a single step by filling out the online application form and then sending it to us. If you have all your documents ready, this takes a maximum of five minutes, as you only have to make a few entries. We can get the remaining information from the documents you upload.

• A covering letter that states why you want to work for us, which area you want to work in, and from when you are available
• A resumé in tabular form, with your contact details (telephone number and e-mail address)
• All relevant certificates, such as your last school report
• Your university degree, if applicable
• Certificates/references from internships, if applicable
• Job references from former employers, if applicable
• Evidence of further training, if applicable

Our job vacancies are constantly updated, so any positions advertised on the Internet are still vacant.

Yes, you can submit an unsolicited application via our online application system.

Please indicate the positions you are applying for in your covering letter. One application is then sufficient. We will enter your application data into our central application system and forward your application documents to the appropriate persons.

The duration of the application process varies. As soon as we have received your application, we will send you a confirmation by e-mail. The assessment of your application by the HR department and the specialist department may then take a while. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

Depending on whether a traineeship or cooperative education course is involved, training begins on September 1 or October 1 each year. You will find the exact date for the training course of your choice in the job description.

Technical courses generally last 3 1/2 years, while commercial courses take 3 years. The cooperative Bachelor’s courses take 6 semesters.

The working hours are generally 40 hours per week.

That depends on the traineeship and the location. Feel free to ask during your job interview. 

Please apply one year before you want to start. The selection processes for traineeships and studies at the DHBW take place about 10 months before the courses start. Please use our online application system for your application.

No. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications after the closing date, but you can apply for the following year.

You will hear from us as soon as possible after careful assessment of your application. A first interview provides an opportunity for us to get to know each other. If you are short-listed, we will invite you to a further interview. If this interview is also successful, you will receive a vocational training contract from us, and we will look forward to welcoming you aboard as a new colleague.

Yes, as long as the subject fits with Drees & Sommer’s range of services. When applying, please indicate a topic or area you would like to explore in your thesis. Please also indicate a time period in which you would like to work on this. We will then consider whether that is practical.   

In our mutual best interest – and to ensure that we can examine your application properly – we recommend that you apply about three months before the desired start date. Please also indicate your preferred Drees & Sommer regional offices and the time period.

To ensure that you cover as many topics as possible in the appropriate level of detail, you should allow at least three months for an internship. Longer is better, as you can then cover the topics in more depth.

Drees & Sommer does offer student jobs. Ideally, you will already have completed an internship with us and already be familiar with our company, topics, structure and tasks.

Internships are possible at the larger international Drees & Sommer regional offices. Available internships are advertised in our job portal.

Both voluntary and mandatory internships are paid. We are happy to provide information about this during your job interview. 

It is not mandatory to be enrolled at university. We offer both voluntary and mandatory internships. Graduates can also spend a gap year with us, or do an internship as preparation for studies.
