USING BIM FOR SYSTEMS AND POWER PLANT DEMOLITION

The energy transition is resulting in the closure and demolition of many nuclear and coal-powered power stations. Specialists from Drees & Sommer are providing support to operators. Building Information Modeling (BIM) is the keytool used for this purpose. It offers many benefits during planning, organization and implementation – including a ‘digital twin’, which allows access to a freely expandable range of information, such as hazardous materials and incidents.
